UNITAR Alumnus Mujtaba Abd Al - Hussain
To turn his vision into a sustainable enterprise, Mujtaba joined the 2025 UNITAR Resilient Ideas for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (RISE) Lab “Igniting Youth Potential through Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Economic Resilience” programme for Egypt, Iraq and Lebanon. Supported by the Government and People of Japan, the programme aimed to develop the capacity of young entrepreneurs and leaders to create and implement innovative local solutions to enhance food security and improve the private sector.
Over 500 young participants from the three countries joined the online programme. Between July and August 2025, they completed interactive online modules, expert-led webinars and peer-to-peer exchanges to develop practical skills and competencies.
The training taught Mujtaba critical frameworks in business planning, market analysis, risk management and strategic operations. Equipped with these skills, Mujtaba refined his platform’s core offering by combining live interactive sessions with personalized exercises, individual progress tracking and structured learning pathways.
The knowledge gained through UNITAR also helped me qualify for and participate in entrepreneurship programme supported by GIZ and Orange Corners Iraq, allowing me to continue developing the project and expanding my entrepreneurial skills.”
